I love Autumn. It's my favorite season. November especially. I just love the coziness of this season. Whether I'm home making chicken stock with my son to freeze for the long winter, or out and about in my favorite boots and sweater, driving around and peeping the foliage. I relish these moments. And as I was driving around the other day and the leaves were falling from the trees on this particularly crisp, sunny Saturday, I realized something that I hope you can find comfort in.
Just because the trees lose their leaves it doesn't mean it's dead. It's just in a different state of being. It's the same as the living body and the spirit. Just because the human body dies, the spirit lives on in a different state of being. Just another level of consciousness.
We absolutely know that the leaves will return in the Spring. So take comfort in knowing that the spirit returns as well. Just a lot quicker!
The human body isn't made to last hundreds of years like trees. But the spirit is infinite. And so is love. Your loved ones are not gone. They're still very much around. They love us without limits. All those other earthly emotions and burdens are gone, but the love remains and is stronger than ever.
Next time you're taking a drive on a beautiful November day, look at the leaves and say hello to your loved ones in spirit. They are right there with you enjoying the foliage.
